Dear Friends in Christ,
As Archbishop of Santa Fe, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. It is the mother church of the dioceses of the southwest of our country and it is rightly called the heart of Santa Fe. This beautiful Cathedral Basilica is holy ground made holy not only by the building materials and the images of the Saints, but by the deep Catholic faith of those who built it and who have worshipped here for many years. I hope that you deepen your love for Jesus Christ present in the Eucharist, the preaching and the Sacraments, and sacramentally present in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. May God touch your heart profoundly with an ever deepening faith as you pray in this historic church and take part in the activities available to you. Share your faith with others in your family and circle of friends and let them all know of the heartfelt welcome we extend to them.
God’s rich blessing and graces upon you!
Sincerely yours in the Risen Lord,
Most Rev. John C. Wester
Archbishop of Santa Fe
